Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight round fight which will be broadcast live on the streaming platform.
British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the two fighters met personally to publicize next month's bout.
Former twice unified heavyweight champion Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami's venue on December 19th.
Fighter's Attitude
"I plan to injure his face and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," the British boxer, 35, said.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I will seriously aim to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."
Respectful Exchange
In spite of such comments, a composed Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually recognized for his showmanship - were respectful and remained civil with each other.
Paul rather attacked former Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "a joke" after the Cameroonian declined a match opportunity.
Targeting Fury
Joshua, at the same time, criticized UK opponent Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a victory for Paul.
"Jake Paul outshines Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer stated.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Opponent
Despite declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to talk badly about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he remarked.

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mostly boxed mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.
He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.

The 28-year-old predicted a knockout win in round four or five and asserted he would stop the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly in the works for 2026.
